June 11 - Jordan and the Bulls (Chicago) go for a 6th NBA title. There is still one game left to be won by the Bulls. My friend and I had a bet on how many the Jazz (Utah) would win before the Bulls took the title. He said that the Jazz would win one game against the Bulls' 4. I said the Jazz would win 2 games against the four. We'll see which one of us is right on Friday. Good day to you all!
May 23 - A few days ago, Suharto (president of Indonesia) stepped down, because of the general public revolting. But, he gave the power to his vice president who has pretty much the same thoughts that the public wanted to banish.
April 30 - Monica Lewinsky was just refused immunity so that she couldn't tell her story without being promised that she would not be put in prison or something like that.
April 9 - Clinton goes to school! Finally, he's going to get an education. Wait.. opps! He's just visiting a grade school. Maybe he's thinking about joining this school in Gage Park, Chicago to get a degree.
Some cigarette-makers are planning to fight Congress on a tobacco deal. We cannot let the congress put laws on everything we do, can we? Soon, cigarette's will be as restricted as drugs. People should have to do the right to whatever they want. Sure cigarettes are deadly, but are we, the people of the United States, going to let other people make decisions for us? Are we that stupid? They think we are. We are unique, we are all different. We do not have the same thoughts as congressmen/congresswomen. Stand up for your rights to choose!
On a sad note, more than forty people were killed yesterday from a tornado in the south. Around thirteen were killed in Atlanta.
March 23 - Boris Yeltskin, the president of Russia, just fired the Prime Minister and his whole cabinet. Why? I'm not sure, but somebody said that he just likes blowing up his government once in a while, it seems pretty silly to me.
March 19 - Listen to this, our school's PTO just paid $49 out of the $60 for our 100 person 7th grade to see The Wizard of Oz. $11 of those dollars, our parents are paying, but the $4900 dollars are paid from our school so we can watch The Wizard of Oz for our Oz Unit in Language Class.
